About

Why FairLens exists.

FairLens was founded to make opportunity allocation defensible, starting with the programs reshaping African futures. Scholarships, fellowships, accelerators, and grant programs across the continent run on rising application volumes and shrinking review capacity, and the tools haven't kept up.

We're building decision infrastructure for African opportunity programs first, with a globally capable platform underneath. The review process becomes structured, evidence-linked, and auditable, without taking the final call away from the humans accountable for it.

What we believe

Evidence over opinion

Every score should link to a source. Reviewers can override anything. When they do, the reasoning is logged.

Transparency by default

Decisions, criteria, and overrides are auditable. Black-box scoring belongs to the past.

Applicant dignity

Every applicant deserves the same lens, and meaningful feedback when the answer is no.
